HumanBeing Acquires Historic Domain 'humanbeing.net'

Expanding Our Vision of Human-Centered Connection

HumanBeing Mascot Floating in Space

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

[15 April, 2025] – Global – In a step that reflects its commitment to creating a truly human-centered digital space, HumanBeing, the human centered social platform, has officially acquired the domain humanbeing.net, previously registered in 2002. While the primary domain ‘humanbe.ing‘ will continue to serve as the heart of the platform, this acquisition marks a significant milestone in HumanBeing’s journey to expand its reach and further its mission of providing a space for intentional connection and authentic expression.

In the context of the digital landscape, the acquisition is particularly notable given the historic timing. 2002 was a pivotal year in the development of the internet. It was 23 years ago when major tech platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok did not even exist. Social media was in its infancy, and the digital world was very different, with platforms like MySpace, Friendster, and AOL Instant Messenger dominating the online experience. As we look back, it’s clear that much of the internet today has been shaped by the rise of these now-iconic platforms, which largely defined social media as a space of performance, vanity, and metrics.

In contrast, HumanBeing is focused on something radically different—presence over performance, connection over competition. HumanBeing offers a refreshingly reflective space where users, referred to as “Beings,” can share, resonate, and grow together in a safe, thoughtful environment. Here, traditional social media noise, intrusive ads, profiling, artificial intelligence, and algorithms are eliminated to make way for authentic human presence and connection, where each action is intentional—whether casting “Ripples” (posts), sharing “Echoes” (reposts), or receiving “Chimes” (notifications).

The platform’s commitment to a human-first ethos is further embodied in its language, which replaces the usual social media terms with more thoughtful alternatives. From “Ripples” to “Resonate” and “Tribes,” every aspect of HumanBeing speaks to a deeper understanding of human presence and interaction.

While humanbe.ing remains the central domain for the platform, the acquisition of humanbeing.net adds another layer of depth and flexibility to the HumanBeing’s online presence. This move not only signals HumanBeing’s growth but also reflects its broader vision of becoming a globally recognized space for authentic human interaction. The new domain will offer expanded opportunities for communication, community building, and more.

“We believe that every Being has a unique presence that deserves to be respected, not commodified,” said Barrister Fraz Wahlah, Founder of HumanBeing. “With the acquisition of humanbeing.net, we’re laying the groundwork for a future where people are not profiles or metrics—they are Beings. This is about creating a safe, intellectual, and intentional space for individuals to explore their humanity without fear of being reduced to data points.”

HumanBeing’s vision is rooted in the belief that true freedom online should come at no cost—and that the future of the internet lies in human connection, not data exploitation. As the platform continues to grow, it remains committed to providing a sanctuary where compassion, empathy, and shared humanity are at the forefront of every interaction.

HumanBeing invites everyone to explore this new space at humanbe.ing and humanbeing.net, to claim their Being, and to join a community where the act of “being human” is cherished and celebrated.
